Introducing ZigZag's press release

---------------------------------------------

Zigzag Inc., a company that supports web inbound and cross-border e-commerce, has strengthened its partnership with ECMS, which specializes in cross-border e -commerce home delivery, and has launched ECMS international delivery, which has realized low prices for light-weight items bound for the United States, through its "WorldShopping BIZ" service . In Asia, where demand is growing, the company has begun offering new delivery fee plans with discounts of up to 75% off current prices.

  • ECMS Shipping Fee Changes for Countries: Background

WorldShopping BIZ enables Japanese e-commerce sites to sell overseas to 228 countries and regions simply by adding a single line of JavaScript tag. WorldShopping BIZ provides a service to all e-commerce businesses who want to start selling overseas, enabling domestic e-commerce sites to become cross-border e-commerce compatible in as little as one day by providing comprehensive support for multilingual support, international payments, and overseas shipping.

In the post-COVID era, it has become standard for consumers to shop online in the retail industry, and demand for cross-border e-commerce is on the rise.

Inbound tourism is also showing signs of recovery, and according to JNTO estimates, the number of foreign visitors to Japan in August 2023 (※1) will be 2,156,900 (an increase of 1,169.5% compared to the same month last year), exceeding 2 million for the second consecutive month.

There is data that shows that many foreign visitors to Japan purchase Japanese products through cross-border e-commerce after returning to their home countries, and considering that Japan will continue to grow as a tourism-based nation even more than before COVID-19, it is essential to consider the needs for "cross-border e-commerce" as a way of expanding overseas. While the impact of Japan Post's EMS (Express Mail Service) and international parcel shipping rate hike (effective June 1, 2022) has been continuing for a long time, we have strengthened our partnership with ECMS, which has strengths in the light weight range, and by reviewing our previous pricing structure, we have achieved a reduction in international shipping rates as a measure to accelerate web inbound (※4) from overseas customers.

This will enable overseas customers living in the relevant countries to use cross-border e-commerce from Japan more safely, securely, and at lower cost.
